Hello, I’m Séverine, a garden designer, horticulturalist, and ecologist based in Manchester, UK.

I have a life long interest in gardens and nature, and through work and study I keep on building my skills and knowledge.

My qualifications include: a BA (Hons) degree in environmental studies, a certificate in garden design from Reaseheath College and a RHS horticultural qualification. My garden design skills were developed with the mentoring support of artist and garden designer, Kate Davies. I am currently working for a MSc in Biological Recording and Ecological Monitoring with Manchester Metropolitan University.

My work experience is varied. Prior to striking out as an independent in 2007, I worked for 8 years at the Groundwork Trust, an environmental regeneration charity, based in Greater Manchester. Since becoming self-employed, I have been involved in hands-on work with organisations such as Glebelands market garden (a Manchester organic urban food growing business) and Arley Hall gardens (8 acres of RHS affiliated gardens in Cheshire), as well as delivering my own landscaping and gardening work. In April 2011, with fellow horticulturalist Brenda Smith, I set up Bud Garden Centre, in South Manchester. I left this business in January 2015 in order to focus on garden design.

For more information about how I can help you or to discuss a project idea, don’t hesitate to get in touch.
